The StarTech.com WALLMOUNT8 is an 8U, 19 inch 2-post open-frame bracket that mounts on a wall and holds patch panels, network switches and other shallow IT equipment up to 35 kg. Its low-profile 34.9 cm mounting depth makes it a compact termination point for small offices, shops and classrooms.
The steel frame is black, conforms to EIA/ECA-310-E, uses square-hole rails with M5 cage nuts, and ships already assembled with a stabilising bracket. A rear opening allows cables to come straight out of the wall, and the wall holes are spaced 16 inches apart.
Before you order: Despite some distributor listings, this is an open bracket, not a cabinet: there is no door, lock, glass or side panel. StarTech.com lists the capacity as 35 kg in its specification table (36 kg in other texts) — plan for 35 kg. For a lockable enclosure, choose a wall-mount cabinet instead.
