The StarTech.com 1P6FFC-USB-C-SERIAL is a 2 m USB-C to RS-232 serial adapter cable with a male DB9 connector, for connecting a laptop or PC to serial devices such as PLCs, POS equipment, network switch consoles, scales and lab instruments.

It uses the FTDI FT232R chipset with COM port retention, so the same COM number is kept after reboots or re-plugging, and supports up to 921.6 kbps. Transmit, receive and USB status LEDs show activity at a glance, the DB9 comes with interchangeable screws and nuts, and the moulded TPE housing with Level 4 ESD protection is rated from -40 °C to 80 °C.
