StarTech.com 5G7AINDRM-USB-A-HUB — 7-Port Managed Industrial USB 3.0 Hub
Enable or disable each port from software7x USB-A 5 Gbps15 kV ESD, metal, DIN rail7–24 V DC terminal block or barrel
The StarTech.com 5G7AINDRM-USB-A-HUB is a seven-port industrial USB 3.0 hub whose ports are controlled from the host computer: disable the spare ports on a kiosk, power-cycle a stuck device from a script, or restrict a secure PC to the devices you have approved, all from StarTech’s free software. It sits in a metal DIN-rail case rated to 60 °C with per-port LEDs.
Compatibility — check before buying:
StarTech’s free USB Hub Administrator software (Windows, macOS, Linux, with command-line support) lets you enable or disable individual ports or all of them, reboot the hub, protect the settings with a password and save port states; the Connectivity Tools USB Event Monitor logs and timestamps what is plugged in. Management is from the host computer over USB — there is no network port and no remote management over a LAN. No power adapter is included (7–24 V DC on the terminal block or barrel jack; StarTech ITB20D3250 sold separately) — note the input is 7–24 V, narrower than the 48 V of the four-port 5G4AINDRM. Six ports give 7.5 W BC 1.2 charging; the left-most port 7 is 4.5 W and accepts 5 Gbps devices only, so a USB 2.0 device there will not work. All ports are USB-A; no USB-C, no video.
Best For
✓ Kiosks and public PCs where spare ports must be locked
✓ Test benches that power-cycle devices from a script
✓ Digital signage and unattended controllers
✓ Secure workstations with device whitelisting
✓ Industrial PCs on DIN rail with many peripherals
✓ Labs that log which USB devices were connected
Key Features
Seven ports you control
Enable, disable, reboot and password-protect ports from the USB Hub Administrator software on Windows, macOS or Linux, with command-line support for automation; per-port status LEDs show what is live.
Logged connections
The Connectivity Tools USB Event Monitor timestamps every device connection on the host, a record for kiosks and secure benches.
Industrial hardware
Metal case, ±15 kV air / ±8 kV contact Level 4 ESD protection, 0–60 °C, 7–24 V DC terminal block and barrel inputs, two DIN-rail brackets included, VIA VL817-Q7 controller; TAA compliant.

Singular Expert Insight
This is the managed hub for a kiosk or a bench with more than four devices: six charging ports, per-port LEDs and the same software as the four-port 5G4AINDRM. If nobody will ever need to switch a port off, the unmanaged ST7300USBME gives seven ports, surge protection and 70 °C for less. Both are in our USB hubs range next to the network switches on the same rail. Not sure your computer, cabinet supply or cable fits? Tell us the model and we check it before you order.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need seven industrial USB 3.0 ports that can be disabled, enabled and logged from the host PC, with DIN-rail mounting and 7–24 V DC power.
Skip it if
You expect network management, need an adapter in the box, run a 48 V rail, or want to use every port for USB 2.0 devices.
Also consider
5G4AINDRM-USB-A-HUB for four managed ports on 7–48 V; ST7300USBME if management is not needed.
