Most keyboard trays give you one height and one angle. This one is full motion: a spring-assisted paddle lets you set the height anywhere across a 340 mm range and lock it there, the platform tilts +15 to -13 degrees, and it swivels 180 degrees either way when the tray is below the desk — so it fits the person rather than the person fitting it. The platform is 670 x 255 mm, sized for a full-size keyboard and a mouse together, with a built-in low-profile wrist rest in soft-touch leatherette along the front and a mouse pad with an anti-slip underside that mounts on either the left or the right. There are ledges at the back of the shelf so nothing slides off when the tray is tilted, and it pulls out to 470 mm from the desk edge. Capacity is 2 kg. In the box: a mounting template, an adhesive foam pad to protect the desk underside during adjustment, and four self-adhesive cable clips.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a fitted tray, so measure before you order. StarTech states you need 750 x 147 mm of surface underneath the desk for the mechanism and a desktop of 20 mm thickness to mount into — check for a drawer, a frame rail or a cable tray in that footprint first, and note that a glass or thin floating top will not take the fixings. If you cannot drill, the clamp-on StarTech tray is the alternative and we stock it. Two limits worth knowing. The 2 kg capacity is sized for a keyboard and a mouse, not for leaning on: it is a tray, not a shelf. And the 180-degree swivel only applies when the tray is below the desk — swung up above desk level the movement is restricted, which is why the adhesive foam pad is supplied to protect the underside.
