The StarTech.com VESA Laptop Tray (LAPTOP-ARM-TRAY) mounts on any VESA 75 or 100 monitor arm or stand and holds a laptop up to 4.5 kg, so it can sit at the same height as your monitor next to it, for dual-screen desks, sit-stand workstations and reception counters.

Two padded arms clamp laptops from 9.4" to 16.5" wide and can be moved or removed so they do not block ports.

Before you order: The tray does not stand on its own — you need a monitor arm or stand with a VESA 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mounting plate rated for the laptop plus the tray (about 1.2 kg).

What It Means in Practice

  • Bolt the tray to the VESA plate of your arm, put the laptop on the ventilated surface and fit the padded arms.
  • Tilt and swivel come from the arm you mount it on.
  • For steep angles keep the padded arms fitted so the laptop cannot slide.
  • Ventilation slots and rubber pads keep the laptop cool and in place.

What Will Not Work

  • Free-standing use on a desk — it needs a VESA arm or stand.
  • Laptops heavier than 4.5 kg or wider than 16.5".
  • Arms that are not rated for the laptop weight plus the 1.2 kg tray.
  • It does not tilt by itself.
