The StarTech.com CDP2DP141MB is a 1 m USB-C (male) to DisplayPort 1.4 (male) cable that connects a laptop, tablet or PC with a DP Alt Mode USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port directly to a DisplayPort monitor. It supports HBR3 at up to 32.4 Gbps, DSC and HDR, for 8K at 60 Hz with DSC, 5K 60 Hz, 4K 120 Hz and 1080p.

Because the adapter is built into the cable, there is no separate dongle to lose and fewer connection points; it is plug-and-play with no drivers, and carries a 3-year StarTech.com warranty.

Compatibility note: The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (or be Thunderbolt 3/4); charge-only and data-only USB-C ports will not output video. 8K 60 Hz requires DSC on both the source and the monitor — without DSC, 8K is limited to 30 Hz.
