The StarTech.com HB30C5A2CSC is a seven-port desk hub for USB-C laptops: four USB-A data ports, two USB-C data ports, a 1.5 A fast-charge port and a 48 W power adapter, with a switch on the hub to turn everything off at night. It is the plastic desk version of StarTech’s metal HB30C5A2CST, with more power and a lighter case.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The two USB-C ports are data only, and StarTech states the hub does not support DP Alt Mode or USB Power Delivery: no monitor from it, no laptop charging through it. It connects to a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 host with the included 1 m USB-C to USB-B cable. The fast-charge port is 1.5 A (7.5 W), not 2.4 A. Bandwidth is shared across the ports.
