A heavy-duty aluminium single arm with a gas-spring cylinder, rated for 13 to 32 inch displays at up to 9 kg — a kilogram or two more than most arms in its class. Curved and ultrawide panels are published as supported, height runs from 170 to 505 mm, and StarTech covers it for five years.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The 9 kg rating is why you would choose this over a lighter arm, and it is what makes a 32 inch panel realistic. On size, StarTech’s marketing bullets mention a 43 in 32:9 display, but the manual states a 32 inch maximum and that is what we publish — the 9 kg limit binds long before the diagonal does on most 43 in panels anyway. The clamp needs reading properly: the datasheet says 10 to 85 mm, while the manual splits it into 10 to 55 mm directly, or 50 to 85 mm using the supplied L bracket. Both are true; the bracket is in the box. Grommet mounting takes desks 10 to 80 mm through a 10.5 to 50 mm hole. One thing worth knowing if you are comparing: the black ARMPIVOTHDB is not simply this arm in another colour — StarTech’s datasheets print different swivel and rotation figures for the two, and the weights differ. If the movement specification matters to your installation, order by the exact part number.
