StarTech.com M5 Rack Screws and Cage Nuts — 20-Pack with Installation Tool
20 screws + 20 nutsM5 threadInstall toolNickel-plated
The StarTech.com CABSCRWM520 is a rack mounting kit with 20 M5 screws, 20 M5 square-hole cage nuts and an installation tool. It fits 19-inch and compact 10-inch server racks, cabinets and enclosures whose rails accept M5 screws and cage nuts.
The screws have pre-installed washers and, like the nuts, are made of nickel-plated steel that resists corrosion. The kit is TAA compliant. Twenty sets are enough to mount five devices at four points each.
Before you order: M5 is less common than M6 in European cabinets. Check your rails or existing cage nuts before ordering.
What's in the Box
- 20 × M5 rack screws with pre-installed washers
- 20 × M5 square-hole cage nuts
- 1 × cage nut installation tool
What It Means in Practice
- Everything needed to mount patch panels, switches or shelves in square-hole rails
- Matching screws and nuts avoid thread mix-ups
- The tool fits nuts quickly without pliers
- Nickel plating keeps the hardware from rusting in damp rooms
What Will Not Work
- Not for M6 cage nuts or M6 equipment
- Not for round-hole or pre-threaded rails
- Not a sliding rail kit for heavy servers
- Twenty sets cover about five devices — larger racks need more
