The StarTech.com CABCAGENTS62 is a pack of 100 M6 steel cage nuts in silver with an installation tool, for mounting equipment in square-hole 19-inch server racks and cabinets. It is for IT teams who need spare fixings when installing switches, patch panels, shelves or servers.
A cage nut clips into the square hole of a rack rail and gives a threaded M6 point for the rack screw. The included tool makes it easier to compress the clip and pull it into or out of the hole without hurting your fingers or bending the rail. StarTech.com states them for 19-inch and 10-inch racks.
Before you order: These are M6 cage nuts. Check the screws of your equipment and the thread your rack uses: M5 screws will not fit, and round or pre-threaded holes do not take cage nuts.
