StarTech.com CABSCRWSM62B — M6 x 12 mm Rack Mounting Screws, 100-Pack, Black
M6 thread100-packScrews onlyBlack
The StarTech.com CABSCRWSM62B is a 100-pack of M6 x 12 mm rack mounting screws, used to fix servers, switches, patch panels, shelves and other rack-mount equipment into 19-inch or 10-inch racks and cabinets that use M6 threaded (tapped) rails.
The screws are all-black steel in black with washers pre-installed, so they sit flat against rack ears without scratching them. Enough for 25 devices at four screws each — a practical stock of spare screws for racks with tapped M6 rails or for cabinets where cage nuts are already fitted.
Before you order: This pack contains screws only. On square-hole rails you also need M6 cage nuts — if they are not already fitted, order the CABSCREWM6B kit instead.
What's in the Box
- 100 × M6 x 12 mm screws (washers pre-installed)
- No cage nuts and no installation tool
What It Means in Practice
- Screws straight into rails that are already tapped for M6, or into M6 cage nuts that are already in place.
- The right refill when screws have gone missing during moves and changes.
- 100 black screws cover about 25 devices at four screws each.
- Washers are pre-installed, so the black finish of rack ears is protected.
What Will Not Work
- Square-hole rails without cage nuts — there are no cage nuts in this pack.
- Racks or devices that need M5 or 10-32 threads.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A bulk refill of black M6 screws — the most common size in European 19-inch cabinets. Keep a bag with every rack; if you are starting from bare square-hole rails, get the CABSCREWM6B kit so you have the cage nuts too. Screws, cage nuts, shelves and cable managers are all in our rack accessories range.
✓ Buy it if you have M6 cage nuts or tapped M6 rails and need a stock of black spare screws.
✕ Skip it if your square-hole rails have no cage nuts yet (choose CABSCREWM6B) or your rack uses M5 or 10-32.
→ Also consider StarTech.com CABSCREWM6B (black M6 screws + cage nuts + tool) and CABSCREWM6 (silver M6 kit, lifetime warranty).
Not sure which thread your rack uses? Send us the rack or cabinet model and we will tell you which pack you need.
