StarTech.com ARMSLIMDUO — Dual Monitor Arm with USB and Audio Pass-Through
Two screens 15–32 in8 kg per arm2 USB 2.0 · headphone and micAluminium, 35 cm height range
ARMSLIMDUO is StarTech.com dual monitor arm with a connection panel built into the base: two USB 2.0 pass-through ports and two 3.5 mm audio jacks, one green for headphones and one pink for a microphone, so a headset and a memory stick plug in at the front of the desk instead of behind the PC. Each aluminium arm takes a display from 15 to 32 in weighing up to 8 kg, with 35 cm of toolless height range, 56.8 cm of reach and full 360° rotation for portrait work.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The pass-through is exactly that — a wired extension, not a hub. Host leads exit the rear of the mount and must be plugged into the PC: a USB lead for the two USB ports, and green and pink 3.5 mm leads for the audio jacks. If your computer has a single combined headset jack rather than separate headphone and microphone sockets, you will need a splitter, which is not supplied. The USB ports are USB 2.0, 480 Mbps: fine for a keyboard, mouse, headset or memory stick, slow for an external drive, and no charging specification is published. Mounting is desk clamp only — there is no grommet option and no wall mounting. StarTech.com publishes the maximum desk thickness as 85 mm on the datasheet and 90 mm in the user manual; design for 85 mm. Interface is VESA 100 x 100 or 75 x 75, and each display must be 8 kg or less.

✓ Thick desktops up to 85 mm
✓ Setups needing front-accessible USB
Key Features
Ports at the desk, not behind the PC
Two USB 2.0 ports and two 3.5 mm jacks sit in the mount base. On a hot desk, that turns plugging in a headset from a crawl under the desk into a one-second job — the reason this model exists alongside the plain dual arms.
Separate headphone and mic jacks
The audio pass-through is a green headphone output and a pink microphone input, wired straight through to the PC. Analogue headsets with two plugs work exactly as they do at the back of the machine.
Aluminium arms, 35 cm of height
Both arms are aluminium and adjust through a 35 cm toolless height range, reaching 45 cm above the desk with 56.8 cm of extension — enough to bring both screens forward or fold them back against a partition.
Full portrait rotation
Each screen rotates a full 360° and tilts across a 90° down to 85° up range, so one panel can run upright for documents or code while the other stays landscape.

Singular Expert Insight
ARMSLIMDUO is bought for the ports, not for the mechanics. If nobody at the desk plugs in a headset or a stick, a plain dual arm gives you the same movement with a longer warranty and often a grommet option — the ARMDUALPIVOT is the direct comparison, with independent height on each arm, both fixing methods and a five-year term. Where ARMSLIMDUO wins is hot desks and reception positions, where reaching behind a PC several times a day is the real cost. Just budget for the host leads being visible at the back of the mount and check that the PC has separate headphone and mic sockets. The rest of the range is in monitor arms and stands, and panel weights per model are listed in our PC monitors section.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want two screens of 15–32 in at 8 kg or less each, and you want USB and headset sockets at the front of the desk instead of behind the computer.
Skip it if
You need grommet or wall mounting, USB faster than 480 Mbps, or the longest possible manufacturer term — this model is published at two years.
Also consider
StarTech.com ARMDUALPIVOT for independent height, clamp and grommet and a five-year term, or a gas-spring dual arm where daily height changes matter more than the ports.
