The StarTech.com RDA2U is a pair of 2U rack depth adapter brackets that move the mounting point of 19-inch equipment forward or back by 10 cm (4 in), carrying up to 59 kg in a 4-post rack. It is for installers who need to align equipment with a door, recess a device behind others, or bridge the gap when rails do not reach.
The brackets attach to the existing rack rails and create a new 19-inch mounting point offset by exactly 10 cm.
Before you order: The supplied screws and cage nuts are 10-32 (US imperial), not metric. For M6 racks, use your own M6 cage nuts and screws. In a 2-post rack the load limit drops to 9 kg.

What It Means in Practice
- A fixed 10 cm offset - useful to recess a patch panel or bring a device forward to the door line.

What Will Not Work
- The included 10-32 hardware will not fit M6 or M5 square holes - use metric cage nuts in European racks.
- The offset is fixed at 10 cm and cannot be adjusted.
- It is not rated above 9 kg in a 2-post rack.
