The D-Link DGS-1530-28/E is a Smart Managed switch with24 Gigabit copper ports and four10G SFP+ slots. It combines VLAN, link-aggregation, security and static-routing functions with physical stacking for supported multi-switch deployments. The non-PoE model uses an internal AC supply and one smart cooling fan.
Best For: Managed office and campus networks needing Gigabit access ports,10G uplinks and an administrator-defined VLAN or stacked-switch design.
Before you order: This exact model has no PoE output. Purchase compatible SFP/SFP+ modules, DACs or fiber separately and check the required link distance and speed. Stacking uses the10G ports, so reserve ports for it in the network design. An external redundant supply is optional and separate. The unit has a fan; it is not a silent fanless desktop switch.

What It Means in Practice
- Connect copper clients at10/100/1000Mbps;use the four SFP+ slots for compatible10G uplinks or supported stacking.
- Configure VLANs, LACP, spanning-tree, ACLs and QoS according to the actual network topology.
- Use web management, CLI or supported SNMP tools with an appropriate administrator configuration.
- Plan physical stacks with compatible models, firmware and cabling;ports allocated to stacking are unavailable for ordinary uplinks.
- Install on a desktop with the supplied feet or in a19-inch rack, allowing fan airflow and cable access.
What Will Not Work
- 24 copper Gigabit ports are not10G or2.5G copper interfaces. The10G interfaces are SFP+ slots.
- No PoE output;the DGS-1530-28P is a different model.
- Static IPv4/IPv6 routing is supported;this does not establish a full dynamic-routing feature set.
- Fabric and forwarding figures are manufacturer switching specifications, not a guaranteed end-to-end application throughput.
