SwitchBot Hub 2 Smart Home Hub
A 4-in-1 smart home hub: universal IR remote, accurate thermo-hygrometer, light sensor and Matter bridge — bringing your appliances and SwitchBot devices into Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit.
Matter BridgeUniversal IR RemoteTemp + Humidity + LightAlexa · Google · HomeKit
The SwitchBot Hub 2 turns existing infrared appliances — air conditioners, TVs, fans and audio systems — into smart, app-controlled devices and at the same time acts as the gateway for your wider SwitchBot ecosystem. The external sensor cable houses a Swiss-made industrial chip for accurate temperature and humidity readings, while a panel light sensor lets the screen brightness adapt to the room and provides illumination data for automations. With Matter support, the Hub 2 bridges Bluetooth-only SwitchBot products such as Lock, Curtain and Blind Tilt into Wi-Fi and into Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings — controlled by app, voice or the two on-device smart buttons that you can map to any scene or appliance.
Compatibility Note: SwitchBot Hub 2 supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only — it does not connect to 5GHz networks. Use a 2.4GHz SSID or a dual-band router with 2.4GHz enabled. Matter compatibility for HomeKit and other ecosystems requires a Matter-capable smart home controller (Apple HomePod, Apple TV, Google Nest, etc.).
Best For
✓ Smart-controlling existing IR appliances (AC, TV, fan)
✓ Existing SwitchBot users who want Matter / HomeKit
✓ Climate-aware automations (temp / humidity / light)
✓ Apple Home households needing a Matter bridge
Key Features
Universal IR Remote
Smart Learning replicates the IR signals of TVs, air conditioners, fans, audio gear and more, replacing a drawer of remotes with one app and voice control.
Accurate Climate Sensor
Industrial Swiss-made chip on an external cable measures temperature and humidity (~±1.8% RH) without heat interference from the hub itself.
Matter Bridge
Brings supported Bluetooth-only SwitchBot products (Lock, Curtain, Blind Tilt) into Apple HomeKit and other Matter platforms via Wi-Fi.
Two Smart Buttons
Two physical buttons on the front trigger any custom scene or appliance — perfect for guests, kids, or anyone who prefers a tap to a voice command.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does SwitchBot Hub 2 support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No. The Hub 2 connects only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router uses a combined SSID, set up a separate 2.4GHz SSID for setup, or temporarily disable 5GHz during pairing.
Will it work with Apple HomeKit?
Yes, via Matter. Hub 2 acts as a Matter bridge for supported SwitchBot products (Lock, Curtain, Blind Tilt) so they appear in the Apple Home app. You will need a Matter-capable HomeKit hub such as a HomePod or Apple TV.
Can it control my air conditioner and TV?
Yes, if your AC and TV use a standard infrared (IR) remote. Bluetooth-only remotes (e.g. some Fire TV / Apple TV remotes) cannot be learned by an IR hub.
Is a power adapter included?
A USB cable is included. The Hub 2 is powered by USB 5V 2A — please check the retail box for your region to confirm whether a wall adapter is included or sold separately.
Singular Expert Insight
Choose Hub 2 if you want a single device that replaces several IR remotes, monitors temperature, humidity and light, and brings your SwitchBot devices into Apple Home / Alexa / Google Home through Matter. If you only need basic IR remote control without on-device sensors or Matter bridging, the cheaper Hub Mini is enough. If you want a hub with cameras, local AI and advanced ecosystem control, look at the SwitchBot AI Hub instead.
