The Targus Classic Case (part number THZ976GL) is a folio case made for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ and Galaxy Tab A9+ 11 inch tablets, made for families, schools and businesses who want the tablet protected from drops and scratches while still usable as a stand.
The tablet clips into an impact-resistant polycarbonate tray, and a PU folio cover wraps around to protect the screen. Targus states the case passes 4 ft (1.2 m) drop testing to MIL-STD 810G. The cover folds into a kickstand for hands-free viewing in landscape mode, and opening or closing it wakes or puts the tablet to sleep. Precise cutouts keep the ports and camera usable without removing the case.
Before you order: This case is for the 11 inch Galaxy Tab A11+ and Tab A9+ only. Do not confuse them with the smaller 8.7 inch Galaxy Tab A11 or Tab A9, or with the iPad Classic Case that Targus sells under a similar name — they will not fit.

What It Means in Practice
- The tray absorbs the impact of a fall from desk or hand height, which is where most tablet damage happens.
- Fold the cover back to stand the tablet for videos, video calls or recipes on a kitchen counter.
- Close the cover and the screen turns off; open it and the tablet wakes, which saves battery.
- You can charge, use headphones and take photos with the case on.
What Will Not Work
- Galaxy Tab A11 and Tab A9 8.7 inch, Galaxy Tab S models, iPads and other 11 inch tablets — the tray is shaped for the A11+ / A9+.
- Holding a keyboard or an S Pen — there is no keyboard and no pen holder.
- Portrait-mode standing: Targus specifies the kickstand for landscape viewing.
- Waterproofing: the case protects against drops and scratches, not water.
