The Targus DOCK230EUZ is the EU model of Targus’s Thunderbolt 5 EcoSmart dock: one Thunderbolt 5 cable to the laptop gives up to 80 Gbps of data, up to 120 Gbps of video bandwidth for single, dual 8K or triple 4K monitors, and up to 140W of charging under USB PD 3.1 Extended Power Range. Behind it are three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, four USB-A ports at 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, in a silver housing made with 75% recycled plastics and aluminium. Two USB-C to HDMI 8K cables, a 1 m Thunderbolt 5 cable and a 180W power adapter come in the box. In practice it is a desk hub for a high-end Thunderbolt 5 or Thunderbolt 4 laptop that drives several monitors, fast storage and a wired network from one connection — and with Intel Thunderbolt Share it can link a second Windows PC.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Triple 4K needs a Thunderbolt 5 laptop. Targus states triple video applies to Thunderbolt 5 hosts; Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 laptops connect and charge but drive fewer screens. Targus does not publish the display count for Macs — Apple M-series base chips support fewer external displays than Pro/Max chips — so send us your Mac model before ordering for multi-monitor use. Video comes out of the Thunderbolt 5 ports, not HDMI or DisplayPort sockets: the two included USB-C to HDMI 8K cables cover two HDMI monitors, and a third needs a USB-C/Thunderbolt monitor or another adapter. 140W needs a laptop that supports USB PD 3.1 EPR; other hosts get up to 100W. Thunderbolt Share software works on select Windows PCs only; Targus lists Mac support for 2026. Targus’s box list names a US mains cord — we confirm the cord type for Cyprus before shipping.

Can it run three monitors from my laptop?
Three 4K screens need a Thunderbolt 5 laptop, as Targus states. Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 laptops use the dock with fewer screens. Tell us your laptop model and monitors and we confirm the setup.
Does it work with a MacBook?
MacBooks with Thunderbolt connect, charge and use the ports. Targus does not publish how many screens a Mac drives through this dock, and base M-series chips support fewer external displays — send us the exact model first.
How do I connect HDMI monitors?
Video comes out of the Thunderbolt 5 ports. Two USB-C to HDMI 8K cables (2 m) are in the box for two HDMI monitors; a third monitor needs a USB-C input or another USB-C video adapter.
What is Thunderbolt Share?
Intel software that links a second Thunderbolt PC to the dock to share screens, files, keyboard and mouse. Targus states it works on select Windows PCs, with Mac support expected in 2026.
