Targus 17″ Voyager EXP Travel Backpack (TBB664GL)

17″ laptopsExpands 27–30 LRFID-blocking pocketLockable zippers

The Targus TBB664GL is the 17″ Voyager EXP Travel Backpack: a black, expandable travel pack that grows from 27 to 30 litres, with a clamshell main compartment and removable garment straps for a night or two away. The laptop and tablet sit in their own protected section with SafePort® Sling suspension, the device and main compartments have lockable zippers, and an RFID-blocking front pocket protects cards and passports. A hidden tracker pocket takes an AirTag-style tracker (not included), and a trolley strap slides it over a suitcase handle.

Compatibility — check before buying:
17″ class, but check the compartment. Targus titles it for 17″ laptops (“15–17″” on its US site) and lists the laptop compartment at 14.13 × 9.96 × 0.79 in — large 17″ gaming laptops may be too big or too thick. The tablet pocket is for tablets up to 13″. The tracker is not included, only the hidden pocket for one. Only the base is water-resistant. Send us your laptop model and we check it against the published compartment size before you order.

Best For

✓ Weekend and short business trips
✓ 17″ and 15–16″ laptops
✓ Flying with laptop and tablet
✓ Keeping passports and cards RFID-protected
✓ Using a Bluetooth tracker on your bag
✓ Commuters who need expansion room

Protected devices
SafePort® Sling protection for the laptop, a separate 13″ tablet pocket and lockable zippers on device and main compartments.

An RFID-blocking front pocket, a hidden tracker pocket and a trolley strap for suitcases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my 17-inch laptop fit?
Targus sizes it for 17″ and under but lists the laptop compartment at 14.13 × 9.96 × 0.79 in, which is small for many 17″ machines. Most 15–16″ laptops fit well; send us your 17″ model and we check.
Is a tracker included?
No. There is a hidden pocket sized for a Bluetooth tracker, but the tracker itself is sold separately.
Can it be locked?
The zippers on the device and main compartments are lockable, so you can add a small travel padlock. Padlocks are not included.
Is it waterproof?
No. Targus describes a water-resistant bottom only; the rest of the bag should be kept out of heavy rain.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the TBB664GL to people who fly or take the train with a laptop and a tablet and want one bag for two nights: the clamshell and garment straps keep clothes flat, and the RFID pocket and lockable zips cover the travel basics. For daily commuting without the expansion, the TBB663GL is simpler. See our laptop cases, sleeves and backpacks, or docking stations for the desk end of the setup.
