TELESTAR TOP CAR 1 DAB+ Bluetooth Car Adapter
DAB/DAB+ / 60 presetsFM transmitter / 3.5 mm AUX outBluetooth 5.02.3-inch LCD
The TOP CAR 1 adds broadcast DAB/DAB+ radio and Bluetooth phone audio to an existing car stereo. Its own active antenna receives digital stations; the sound reaches your car speakers through the stereo’s AUX input or through an unused FM frequency. It is an adapter for your existing audio system, with a separate small display and controls.
Before you order:
DAB reception requires local DAB/DAB+ broadcast coverage and correct antenna installation. This is not internet radio and Bluetooth streaming requires your phone. Check that your car stereo has AUX input or FM reception and that an appropriate vehicle power socket is available.
What's in the Box
- 1 × TOP CAR 1 receiver
- 1 × 3.5 mm audio cable
- 1 × dual-USB vehicle power adapter and receiver power cable
- 1 × suction mount with rotating ball joint
- 1 × active MCX foil antenna with 8 adhesive cable clips
- 1 × user manual
What It Means in Practice
- Mount the receiver on the windscreen or a suitable smooth surface without obstructing the view. Install and earth the supplied antenna exactly as instructed, preferably vertically along the A-pillar; avoid heated wires and metallised areas that can degrade reception.
- For an AUX-equipped stereo, connect the included audio cable and select AUX on the stereo. Otherwise choose a free FM frequency on the adapter and tune the car radio to the same frequency. Connecting AUX out turns off the FM transmitter. Pair your phone with TOP CAR 1 for music or hands-free calls.
- Scan available DAB stations and store favourites for later journeys. If travelling repeatedly within one reception area, the manual recommends disabling AF to avoid interruptions from unnecessary alternative-frequency searches.
What Will Not Work
- It cannot receive DAB stations where no usable broadcast signal exists. It is not a standalone speaker, replacement head unit or CarPlay/Android Auto system. Use the supplied interference-suppressed power accessories; unsuitable USB adapters and other electronics can impair radio reception. Protect it from moisture, direct sunlight and heat above 50°C.
Key Features
Digital station information
DLS scrolling text and available station information appear on the receiver display.
Flexible audio connection
AUX provides a wired path to compatible stereos; the FM transmitter offers an alternative when AUX is unavailable.
Music from a card
Play MP3/WMA from a separate microSD card, with resume and repeat/shuffle options.
