tesa On & Off Cable Manager — Reusable Cable Tie Roll, 5 m x 10 mm, Black
Reusable5 m x 10 mmCut to lengthBlack
The tesa On & Off Cable Manager (55239) is a 5 m roll of 10 mm wide black hook-and-loop tape that you cut to any length to bundle cables and open them again whenever the setup changes. It is meant for desks, home offices, TV and AV corners, garages and cars — anywhere cables get added or moved.
Unlike a nylon cable tie, a strip of On & Off can be opened and closed again — tesa states about 1,000 cycles on average. The tape has an adhesive back, so a strip can stay attached to a cable and is not lost when the bundle is opened, and tesa specifies it as removable without residue.
Before you order: tesa specifies On & Off for indoor use and states it is not UV-resistant. For outdoor or permanent runs, use nylon cable ties instead.
What's in the Box
- 1 x roll tesa On & Off Cable Manager, 5 m x 10 mm, black
What It Means in Practice
- Cut strips to the bundle size: a 15–20 cm strip wraps a typical desk bundle of power, HDMI and USB cables
- Re-open the bundle to add a cable without cutting anything — ideal for desks, docking stations and AV racks that change
- Stick one end to a cable so the strip stays where you need it next time
- 5 m gives roughly 25–30 strips for a whole home office or meeting room
What Will Not Work
- Not for outdoor use — tesa states it is not UV-resistant
- Not a load-bearing fastener: it bundles cables, it does not hold heavy cable runs to a ceiling or tray
- No temperature or tensile rating is published — do not use it near heat sources or in engine bays
- Not a substitute for fixed cable ties where a permanent, tamper-proof bundle is required

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as Velcro straps?
It works the same way — hook-and-loop — but comes as a roll you cut yourself, so every strip is exactly as long as the bundle needs.
Will it leave glue on my cables?
tesa specifies the product as removable without residue.
How strong is it?
tesa does not publish a tensile figure. It is designed for bundling, not for carrying weight.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Hook-and-loop tape is the right tool wherever cables change: desks, docking stations, meeting-room tables and patch areas. In a rack, use it on
network and patch cables you re-patch often, and keep nylon ties for permanent trunk runs. One roll usually covers a whole office.
✓ Buy it if you want tidy desk or AV cabling that you can open and change without cutting ties.
✕ Skip it if the cables run outdoors or need a permanent, tamper-proof fixing.
→ Also consider nylon cable ties for permanent bundles, or our patch cords cut to the right length.
