Its Zen 4 architecture combines a 4.2GHz base clock with boost up to 5.3GHz, 24MB L2 and 128MB L3 cache. This is the tray part 100-000001352, designed for the sTR5/TRX50 platform with four-channel DDR5 registered memory.
Best For: Compatible rendering, video-production, compilation and engineering applications that can use many CPU threads and a workstation expansion platform.
Before you order: Confirm explicit Threadripper 7960X support and BIOS with the TRX50 motherboard vendor. Use supported DDR5 RDIMM memory, suitable sTR5 cooling for a 350W CPU and a discrete graphics card. Ordinary AM5 boards and DDR5 UDIMMs are not the specified platform.
