TP-Link Omada SG5428XMPP Lite L3 Managed PoE++ Switch
24x Gigabit PoE++500W PoE budget4x 10G SFP+L3 Lite · Stackable
The TP-Link Omada SG5428XMPP is a 24-port Gigabit Lite Layer 3 managed switch with a 500W PoE++ budget and four 10G SFP+ slots, built for high-density PoE networks such as Wi-Fi 6/7 access points, PTZ cameras and IP phones. It carries part number SG5428XMPP (EAN 8885020626445) and integrates with Omada SDN for centralised control. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Of the 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, ports 1-8 are PoE++ (802.3af/at/bt, up to 90W each) and ports 9-24 are PoE+ (802.3af/at, up to 30W each), all sharing a single 500W budget — total simultaneous PoE draw across the switch cannot exceed 500W. The four 10G SFP+ slots and the stacking function require compatible SFP+ transceivers or DAC/stacking cables, which are sold separately. This is the V1 hardware revision. Full Layer 3 (OSPF/VRRP) and stacking are managed features; plan a controller or standalone management accordingly.
Best For
✓ High-density PoE for Wi-Fi 6/7 APs, PTZ cameras and IP phones
✓ SMB and campus edge or aggregation deployments
✓ Powering PoE++ (90W) devices such as video bars and pan-tilt cameras
✓ 10G fibre uplinks and 10G aggregation
✓ Omada SDN-managed multi-site networks
✓ Rack-mounted wiring closets
Key Features
500W PoE++ Across 24 Ports
Eight 802.3bt PoE++ ports deliver up to 90W each for power-hungry devices, while sixteen PoE+ ports supply up to 30W, all drawn from a shared 500W budget to power APs, cameras and phones over a single cable.
Lite Layer 3 Routing
Beyond VLAN segmentation the switch performs static routing, RIP, OSPF and VRRP with DHCP server and relay, letting it route between subnets at the network core or a large edge without a separate router.
10G Uplinks and Stacking
Four 1/10G SFP+ slots provide high-speed fibre uplinks, and physical stacking of up to four units (80 Gbps stack bandwidth) lets you manage several switches as one logical device.
Omada SDN Management
Centralised control through the Omada controller, cloud or app unifies switches, gateways and access points under one dashboard, with Web GUI and CLI also available for standalone use.

Singular Expert Insight
For a growing PoE network the SG5428XMPP hits a useful middle ground: it adds true Lite Layer 3 (OSPF/VRRP) and stacking over the L2+ SG3428XMPP, while its 500W budget and eight 90W PoE++ ports power demanding devices that a standard PoE+ switch cannot. If you do not need routing or 90W ports, the L2+ SG3428XMPP is more economical; if you only power a handful of devices, a non-PoE model saves cost. Explore more network switches or pair it with our access points to build the full Omada stack.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need to power many APs, cameras or phones (including 90W PoE++ devices) with 500W total, and want Lite L3 routing, 10G SFP+ uplinks and stacking under Omada.
Skip it if
You do not need Layer 3 routing or 90W PoE++ ports — the L2+ SG3428XMPP or a non-PoE switch will cost less for the same port count.
Also consider
The L2+ Omada SG3428XMPP (16x PoE+ + 8x PoE++) for a lower-cost edge, or a non-PoE aggregation switch if you are not powering devices.
