The TP-Link Omada SM331T (TL-SM331T) is a copper SFP module that turns an SFP slot into a Gigabit RJ-45 port, reaching up to 100 m over Cat5e or better cable. It draws 0.8 W at most and lets a spare SFP port on an Omada router or switch connect a server, access point, NVR or other copper device without a media converter. In practice, a copper module is the quickest way to connect a nearby device that only has an RJ-45 port. Use fibre for anything beyond the copper reach shown in the table.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It is a Gigabit module: TP-Link’s current Omada pages list 10/100/1000BASE-T operation in host systems, while the V1.0 datasheet lists 1000BASE-T only — so a 10 or 100 Mbps device depends on the host port. TP-Link’s compatibility list names the ER8411 and ER7206 routers. It needs an SFP slot; for 10G copper in an SFP+ slot, the SM5310-T is the sibling. Not sure?
