The TP-Link VIGI SP9030 is an intelligent solar power supply system for VIGI cameras and wireless bridges in places without mains power. It combines a 90 W solar panel (21.6% conversion efficiency) with a 31.2 Ah, 10.8 V lithium battery with auxiliary heating, and a controller with three 12 V DC outputs and a 10/100 RJ45 port. The set is IP66 rated, mounts on poles from 80 to 120 mm diameter, and the panel angle can be set from 5° to 55°. TP-Link gives a maximum average load of 9 W, enough for two to three cameras. In practice it lets you place a 4G camera on a building site, farm or car park far from any socket.
Compatibility — check before buying:
It supplies 12 V DC, not PoE, so your camera must accept a 12 V DC input, and the total average draw must stay within 9 W. TP-Link states that all VIGI cameras are compatible and that PTZ models of the C5 series must use output 3. TP-Link recommends using only VIGI-certified panels, controllers and batteries. The pole, the camera and a 4G SIM are not included. The smaller SP6030 has a 60 W panel and a 6 W load limit. Not sure? Tell us your model and we check it for you.
