Industrial routing, Wi-Fi and PoE+ device power
AC1200 dual-band4× Gigabit PoE+ LAN1× Gigabit WANIP30 / DIN rail
The TRENDnet TI-WP100 combines dual-band AC1200 wireless routing with four Gigabit PoE+ LAN ports and one Gigabit WAN port. Its metal DIN-rail enclosure, redundant power inputs, VLAN/VPN functions and serial Modbus interface support suitable industrial network installations. The external power supply is purchased separately.
Best For: Industrial cabinets and managed small-site networks needing wireless connectivity, Gigabit routing and power for compatible PoE devices.
Before you order: Power supply sold separately. The guide states up to 20 W for the router without PoE and up to 120 W PoE output, requiring up to 140 W total input capacity for the full budget. Select a suitable approved supply for the intended load and installation. IP30 is not waterproof. Wi-Fi performance is degraded above 60°C despite the wider operating range.
What's in the Box
- TI-WP100 router, four detachable dual-band antennas and quick installation guide.
- 1.5 m network cable, 8-pin power/digital I/O terminal block, 4-pin serial terminal block and DIN-rail mounting bracket.
- Power supply, 35 mm rail, optional TEW-LB101 magnetic antenna bases, modem/internet service and PoE client devices are separate.
What It Means in Practice
- Plan the DC supply and total PoE load before installation; follow the official guide and suitable industrial installation practice.
- Mount using the supplied DIN-rail bracket and maintain appropriate enclosure ventilation and grounding.
- Connect a compatible modem/network to the Gigabit WAN and suitable PoE devices to the four LAN ports.
- Configure supported Ethernet/wireless WAN failover or load balancing, VLANs and access policies.
- Use supported IPsec/OpenVPN, monitoring and Modbus features only with matching network and application requirements.
What Will Not Work
- The router is not supplied with a power supply and cannot reserve the full PoE budget without sufficient input headroom.
- Four PoE+ outputs support up to 30 W per port within the 120 W total budget and available supply.
- IP30 protects a suitably installed indoor device; it is not a water-resistant outdoor enclosure.
- AC1200 combines theoretical 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps at 5 GHz; actual throughput is lower. Wi-Fi degrades above 60°C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the power supply included?
No. Choose a compatible supply with capacity for the router and intended PoE load.
Can a 120 W supply provide full 120 W PoE?
The guide budgets up to 20 W for the router itself; full 120 W PoE requires up to 140 W input capacity.
Does IP30 mean waterproof?
No. Use a suitable protected installation; IP30 does not establish water protection.
Are there two Ethernet WAN ports?
No. There is one Gigabit Ethernet WAN, with wireless WAN providing the alternative uplink.
Does Wi-Fi retain full performance at 70°C?
The manufacturer specifies reduced Wi-Fi performance above 60°C.
Singular Expert Insight
Size the installation around the power budget and environment first. PoE output is additional to router consumption, and each powered device contributes to the total. A protected cabinet, suitable supply, antenna placement and a tested WAN failover policy matter more than the combined wireless rate.
Buyer’s Guide
✓ Buy it if You need industrial wireless routing with four PoE+ outputs, DIN-rail mounting and supported management interfaces.
✕ Skip it if You need an included adapter, water-resistant outdoor enclosure, built-in cellular modem or newer Wi-Fi generation.
→ Also consider Supply capacity, DC installation, PoE loads, cabinet temperature, antenna placement and compatible WAN/VPN devices.
