TRENDnet TEG-3182WS 16×2.5G Managed Switch, 2×10G SFP+
Sixteen 2.5G access ports with two 10G uplinks and web management
The TRENDnet TEG-3182WS is an 18-port Web Smart managed switch with sixteen 2.5G RJ45 ports and two dedicated 10G SFP+ ports. It combines 120Gbps switching capacity with VLAN, LACP, QoS and monitoring tools for a planned SMB network. Fanless metal construction and an included rackmount kit support quiet 1U installations.
What's in the Box
- TRENDnet TEG-3182WS switch.
- 1.8m power cord and rackmount kit.
- Optical modules, DAC cables and Ethernet patch leads are not listed as included.
What It Means in Practice
- Segment appropriate devices with VLANs and use QoS to prioritize selected traffic.
- Connect compatible NAS or upstream switches through the two 10G SFP+ slots using suitable separately selected modules or DACs.
- Use LACP where both devices support it; aggregation does not make one ordinary flow exceed the individual link rate.
- Monitor traffic with SNMP, port mirroring and diagnostics, and plan addressing and management access before deployment.
What Will Not Work
- Sixteen copper ports and two SFP+ slots make eighteen total ports; there are no eighteen RJ45 ports.
- No PoE power delivery: powered devices need separate power or appropriate injectors.
- Static/inter-VLAN routing is limited to the documented tables; full dynamic-routing protocols are not claimed.
- 10G uplink hardware and cloud subscriptions are separate planning items.

Frequently Asked Questions
The useful balance here is sixteen multi-gigabit access links and two faster uplinks with practical management. Plan PoE separately and review VLAN, uplink and management requirements together. The 120Gbps switching figure is aggregate capacity, not the speed of any one port.
