The TRENDnet TL2-F7080 is a compact managed switch for aggregating compatible 1G and 10G SFP+ links. Eight SFP+ cages, a 160 Gbps switching fabric and local web or CLI management support an organised business network. VLAN controls and IPv4/IPv6 static routing provide additional traffic-separation options. Link modules and cabling are selected separately.
Best For: Business fiber aggregation and compact racks needing eight managed 1/10G SFP+ connections.
Before you order: Choose compatible SFP/SFP+ transceivers and fiber or suitable DACs for both ends of each link. They are not included. The front RJ45 port is a serial console, not an Ethernet data port. This switch does not supply PoE. Leave ventilation clearance: it uses a smart fan and is not silent fanless equipment.

- Transceivers, fiber, DACs and optional ETH-F72 dual-unit mounting bracket are separate.

- Aggregate compatible 1G or 10G optical links across eight SFP+ cages. Actual speed depends on modules and endpoints.
- Use VLANs, link aggregation and spanning tree to match the planned topology.
- Configure supported static IPv4/IPv6 and inter-VLAN routes when appropriate for the network.
- Manage locally over HTTP/HTTPS or CLI, with the supplied serial console cable for out-of-band access.
What Will Not Work
- The RJ45 console cannot connect an ordinary copper Ethernet client.
- No PoE output is provided.
- No 2.5G/5G link-speed or universal copper SFP+ module compatibility is promised.
- Static routing does not imply dynamic routing protocols.
- The optional ETH-F72 bracket for two units in 1U is not the included standard rack kit.
