The TRENDnet TC-KP24S is a 24-port shielded keystone patch panel for a standard 19-inch rack or network cabinet, taking one unit (1U) of height. It is an empty 19-inch, 1U frame with 24 keystone slots, made of nickel-plated SPCC steel for EMI/RFI shielding, with a rear cable manager and a grounding wire in the box. In practice you choose the jacks: fit Cat6, Cat6A, shielded or unshielded keystone modules (bought separately) and each port becomes whatever the job needs, so one panel can grow with the network.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check before buying: No keystone jacks are included — the panel is an empty frame and no port works until you fit modules. TRENDnet lists its TC-K06C6A Cat6A shielded keystone jacks (6-pack) as compatible — four packs fill all 24 ports. It is a 19″ panel and needs a 19″ rack or cabinet — it does not fit a 10″ mini rack. Shielding only helps with shielded cable (F/UTP, S/FTP) whose shield is terminated and the panel earthed; with UTP cable it works as a normal panel. The 48-port version is the TC-KP48S.
