TRENDnet TI-S12048 120W 48V Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply
120W48V DCDIN-rail TS-35Active PFC
The TRENDnet TI-S12048 is a 120W single-output Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply that turns 100-240V AC mains into a regulated 48V DC, 2.5A feed for industrial PoE switches, network cameras and access points mounted in a control cabinet. TRENDnet states that it is built on the Mean Well SDR-120-48 platform.
It clips onto a standard TS-35 DIN rail next to the switch, uses passive convection cooling with no fan, and includes active PFC, a DC OK relay contact and protection against short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature — the things that matter in an unattended cabinet.
Before you order: This page describes TI-S12048 hardware v1.0R: fixed 48V DC, 120W. Devices that need 52-56V DC — such as 802.3bt PoE++ injectors like the TRENDnet TI-IG290 — need a different supply. Ask us if you are unsure.
What's in the Box
- 1 × TRENDnet TI-S12048 DIN-rail power supply (Mean Well SDR-120-48)
- Mains cable, DC wiring and ferrules are not listed — plan your cabinet wiring separately
What It Means in Practice
- One 120W, 48V supply can feed a small industrial PoE switch and its connected cameras or APs
- Active PFC (PF > 0.93) and 91% efficiency keep heat and mains draw down inside a closed cabinet
- 150% peak-load capability helps with PoE devices that draw a start-up surge
- The DC OK relay contact can signal a PLC or alarm if the output fails
What Will Not Work
- Devices that need 52-56V DC, such as 802.3bt PoE++ injectors — output is a fixed 48V
- Loads above 120W continuous
- Plugging in like a desktop adapter — it needs wiring to AC and DC screw terminals by a qualified person
- Outdoor use without an enclosure — it is a cabinet-mounted unit

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it power the TRENDnet TI-IG290 PoE++ injector?
No. The TI-IG290 needs 52-56V DC input, and the TI-S12048 v1 has a fixed 48V output. Use the supply TRENDnet lists for the injector.
How many PoE devices can it run?
It depends on the switch and devices: the total, including the switch’s own consumption, must stay within 120W. Send us the list and we will check the budget.
Does it need a fan or ventilation?
It has no fan and cools by convection, so leave the free space around it that a normal DIN-rail cabinet layout provides.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The TI-S12048 is a proven 120W, 48V DIN-rail supply for small industrial PoE switches — efficient, protected and with a DC OK contact for monitoring. Match the output voltage before ordering: anything built around 802.3bt PoE++ usually wants 52-56V instead. For other cabinet hardware see our
rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you need a 48V DC, up to 120W supply for an industrial PoE switch or devices on a DIN rail.
✕ Skip it if your equipment needs 52-56V DC, more than 120W, or a plug-in desktop adapter.
→ Also consider a higher-wattage 48-56V DIN-rail supply for PoE++ installations.
