TRENDnet TI-S24048 — 48 V DC 240 W Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply
48 V DC · 240 WActive PFCDC OK relayDIN rail · -25 to 70 °C
The TRENDnet TI-S24048 is a 240 W, 48 V DC industrial power supply for 35 mm DIN rails, built to feed industrial PoE switches in control cabinets, outdoor enclosures and plant rooms. At 5 A on the 48 V rail it gives enough headroom for a switch to deliver a meaningful PoE budget to cameras, access points and other powered devices.
Active power factor correction keeps the draw on the mains clean, and it is protected against short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature. Cooling is passive (free air convection), so there is no fan to fail, and a DC OK relay plus status LED let you monitor the output from a PLC or alarm panel.
Before you order: Check the input range of your switch: 48 V DC is the right voltage for TRENDnet industrial PoE switches, but some third-party switches need 52–56 V to deliver full PoE+ or PoE++. Send us the switch model if you are not sure.
What's in the Box
- TRENDnet TI-S24048 DIN-rail power supply
What It Means in Practice
- Clip it on the same TS-35 DIN rail as the switch and wire mains and the 48 V output to the screw terminals inside the cabinet.
- 240 W covers a switch with roughly 200 W of PoE loads after the switch's own consumption — size your PoE devices against that, not against the switch's datasheet maximum.
- Connect the DC OK relay to a PLC input or alarm so you know immediately if the 48 V rail drops.
- Rated -25 to 70 °C with passive cooling, it suits sealed outdoor cabinets that heat up in summer.
What Will Not Work
- It has no mains cable or plug — it must be wired into terminals by a qualified electrician inside a cabinet.
- Its output is plain 48 V DC, not PoE — it powers the switch, and the switch powers the cameras.
- It is DIN-rail only; there is no wall-mount bracket in the box.
- It is not a UPS and will not keep the switch running through a mains outage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it power two switches?
Yes, if both run on 48 V and their combined consumption, including all PoE loads, stays below 240 W.
Does it include a mains cable?
No. DIN-rail supplies are wired to screw terminals inside the cabinet.
Do I need a 48 V or a 54 V supply for PoE++?
It depends on the switch. TRENDnet industrial PoE switches accept 48 V; some other brands need 52–56 V for full 802.3at/bt output. Check the switch datasheet or ask us.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The power supply sets the real PoE budget of an industrial switch: a 120 W supply on a switch rated for 240 W of PoE gives you 120 W, not 240. The TI-S24048 is sized for a full mid-size PoE switch; for shelves, blanking panels and other cabinet parts see our
rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you are building an industrial cabinet around a 48 V PoE switch and need around 200 W of PoE for cameras or access points.
✕ Skip it if your switch needs 52–56 V input, or the load is small enough for a compact 75–120 W supply.
→ Also consider LevelOne POW-4822 (48 V 75 W) for small loads, or the LevelOne POW-2442 (24 V 120 W) for non-PoE control equipment.
