Ubiquiti PoE Over 2-Wire Retrofit Extender Kit

750m ReachPoE++/PoE+2-Wire/Coax

The Ubiquiti UACC-Retrofit-PoE-2Wire (part number UACC-Retrofit-PoE-2Wire) is a matched transmitter and receiver pair that carries PoE power and 10/100 Ethernet over existing twisted-pair or coaxial cable, letting installers upgrade analog cameras or intercoms to IP without pulling new cable. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility: Sold as a matched transmitter and receiver pair — requires a PoE++ source at the transmitter end and powers a PoE/PoE+ device at the receiver end. BNC adapters are included for coax runs.

Key Features

Reuse Existing 2-Wire Cabling
Runs Ethernet and PoE over legacy twisted-pair or coaxial cable, avoiding a full re-cable during retrofits.

Matched Transmitter/Receiver Pair
One unit takes PoE++ input and 2-wire output; the other converts back to PoE+ output and 10/100 Ethernet.

Long-Distance Reach
Carries a link over existing wiring up to 750m depending on cable type and conditions.

Built-In Surge Protection
ESD/EMP protection rated to ±8kV air discharge and ±4kV contact discharge guards against line surges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need both units, or can I buy just one?
You need the matched pair — one transmitter and one receiver — sold together in this kit.
What kind of cable can I run this over?
Either existing twisted-pair (UTP) cable or RG-6 coaxial cable, using the included BNC adapters for coax runs.
What data rate should I expect?
Up to 85 Mbps at 100m per cable segment; actual data rate and reach depend on cable quality and length.
Singular Expert Insight
This retrofit extender is ideal for reusing existing analog camera or intercom wiring when migrating to IP devices, avoiding the cost of pulling new Ethernet cable throughout a building.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You are upgrading analog cameras or intercoms to IP over existing 2-wire or coax cabling and do not want to re-pull cable.
Skip it if
You can run new Cat5e/6 cable directly — a native Ethernet run will always outperform a 2-wire adapter link.
Also consider
Standard PoE extenders or injectors if you already have Ethernet cabling in place.
