Ubiquiti UniFi Access G2 Starter Kit Pro — Complete Single-Door Kit

Door HubG2 Reader ProG2 exit reader2 key fobs

The Ubiquiti UniFi Access G2 Starter Kit Pro (UA-G2-SK-Pro) puts everything for one controlled door in one box: a Door Hub, a G2 Reader Pro with 4.7″ touchscreen, camera and intercom for the outside, a compact G2 Reader for the inside, and two NFC key fobs. The hub is powered by one PoE++ cable and powers both readers, and it switches your electric lock. In practice it is the fastest way to put card, PIN, QR and mobile entry with logs and a video doorbell on an office, shop or building door that already runs UniFi.

Compatibility — check before buying:
A UniFi console and an electric lock are still needed. The console runs the UniFi Access application; the lock (strike or magnetic) is chosen to suit your door. The hub needs a PoE++ port or injector. This is the G2 generation: no Apple or Google Wallet — that needs the G3 Starter Kit Pro. Cards are 13.56 MHz; 125 kHz cards are not in Ubiquiti’s supported list. Tell us about the door and we plan lock and cabling.

Best For

✓ First UniFi Access door
✓ Office main entrance
✓ Shops with a staff door
✓ Entry and exit logging

Frequently Asked Questions

What else do I need?
A UniFi console running UniFi Access, a PoE++ port for the Door Hub, and an electric lock for the door. We can quote all three with the kit.
Why two readers?
The G2 Reader Pro goes outside for entry, intercom and camera. The G2 Reader goes inside, so people badge out or wave to exit, and every exit is logged.
Can staff use their phone as a key?
Yes, through the UniFi mobile app. Apple and Google Wallet (Touch Pass) need the G3 generation readers instead.
Will my old cards work?
Only 13.56 MHz NFC cards such as MIFARE and DESFire. Two fobs are included; more cards can be added.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the G2 Starter Kit Pro for the first UniFi Access door: it is cheaper than buying the parts one by one and everything matches. Add a magnetic lock or strike and check PoE++ on your switch — see our PoE switches. See our smart home and access range for locks and extra readers.
