The Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go Slider is a 64 GB USB 2.0 flash drive in a black body with a sliding mechanism that protects the USB-A connector when it is not in use. Slide it open, plug it in, slide it back. It measures 58.5 x 21 x 11 mm and weighs 8 g. It is a plain, inexpensive stick for carrying documents and photographs between computers.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB Type-A drive with no USB-C connector and no adapter in the pack, so it will not enter a phone, a tablet or a USB-C-only laptop. Be clear about the bus: this is USB 2.0. Verbatim states it will also work in a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, but that means it fits and runs, not that it goes faster — the drive itself is USB 2.0. And Verbatim publishes no MB/s figure for the Slider at any capacity, so no speed appears on this page. That is a real absence rather than an omission on our part: we checked all four sizes. The Slider is the plain end of Verbatim’s range and it does the boring things right: nothing to lose, light, a full-size body you can grip, and a name people trust. What it does not do is give you anything to compare. Verbatim publishes no speed for it, and the bus underneath is USB 2.0, so this is a drive you buy on price and brand rather than on numbers. That is a reasonable choice for documents handed around an office. It is the wrong choice if you move video or large files, and the honest alternative is the Store ‘n’ Go V3 from the same brand — nearly the same object to look at, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and speeds published per capacity. Both sit in our USB flash drives range. For large working files, an external SSD is the right class of product.
