The WEDO Safety Cutter PROFI, article 78845, is a metal-bodied utility knife built around one idea: the blade should never be exposed when it is not cutting. A spring-loaded trapezoid blade retracts into the handle automatically the moment it loses contact with the material, and a dial sets the cutting depth to 9, 15 or 25 mm so you can slit a carton open without slicing what is inside it. The handle is metal with a rubberised grip zone and the blade slider sits on the back, which makes it equally usable left or right handed. Blade retracts by itself
The trapezoid blade is spring-loaded and pulls back into the handle as soon as it stops touching the material being cut.
