The WEDO Safety Cutter PLUS 837, article 78837, is a lever-operated safety knife in a zinc die-cast body with a metal blade guide, and it is a different tool from WEDO’s slider cutters. A long, smooth trigger lever deploys the 19 mm trapezoid blade, and the safety mechanism goes a step further than most: the spring-loaded blade withdraws into the handle automatically as soon as it loses contact with the material even while the lever is still pressed, so a slip does not leave a blade travelling.
