The WEDO Safety Cutter Standard 78800 is a red and black retractable utility knife whose blade retracts automatically as soon as the cut is finished, supplied with two replacement blades — for opening boxes, cutting cardboard, foil and strapping safely in offices, warehouses, shops and schools.

The automatic retraction is the point of a safety cutter: when the blade leaves the material it slides back into the handle, so the knife is never left lying open on a desk or in a pocket. WEDO builds the handle from ABS plastic with a rubber side panel for grip, the blade can be positioned for left-handed use, and the cutter carries the TÜV / GS safety mark.
