Wera 7510/14 Safe-Torque Speed — 14-Piece Set for Carbide Inserts
14 Pieces1–3 Nm in Five StepsTORX, TORX PLUS, Hex-PlusRoll Pouch
The 7510/14 pairs Wera’s 7510 Safe-Torque Speed torque screwdriver with the thirteen bit sizes that actually turn up on indexable carbide tooling: TORX PLUS 7, 8, 9, 10 and 15 IP, TORX TX 7, 8, 9, 10 and 15, and Hex-Plus 2, 2.5 and 3 mm. Insert clamping screws are small and unforgiving — too tight and the screw shears or the seat is damaged, too loose and the insert shifts under cutting load — so the driver offers five detented values from 1.0 to 3.0 Nm, matching the figures recommended by leading carbide tool makers, plus a Torque Lock position for free driving. Everything rolls into a fleece-backed textile pouch. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Torque is available only at the five fixed values 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 Nm — no intermediate settings and nothing below 1 Nm. Accuracy is ±10%, and Wera declares no EN ISO 6789 conformity for the Safe-Torque line; no calibration certificate is claimed. Bit coverage stops at TX 15 / 15 IP and 3 mm hex, with no TORX PLUS below 7 IP. Bits are 25 mm standard length, so they may not reach into deep insert pockets. The set is not ESD-safe and not insulated. In Torque Lock the limiter is fully disengaged.
Best For
✓ Turning, milling and drilling tool holders
✓ Insert changes on CNC machines
✓ Toolrooms standardising insert torque
✓ Service engineers working on cutting tools
Key Features
Torque Matched to Insert Screws
Five detented values from 1.0 to 3.0 Nm in 0.5 Nm steps, the band in which indexable insert clamping screws are specified. The slip-over mechanism signals audibly and by feel at the set value, in both directions.
All Three Insert Screw Drives
Insert screws use TORX, TORX PLUS and hexagon socket heads depending on the tool maker. The set covers all three: five IP sizes, five TX sizes and three Hex-Plus sizes, so one pouch handles a mixed tooling crib.
Hex-Plus Profile on the Hex Bits
The 840/1 Z bits use Wera Hex-Plus geometry, which moves the load off the corners of the socket. On small screws in a hard insert seat that is exactly where rounding starts. Wera catalogues them only as hexagon socket in places.
Torque Lock and Quick-Release Holder
A sixth position disengages the limiter for loosening and free tightening, and the 1/4 inch quick-release chuck changes bits one-handed without touching the working end.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does for carbide inserts mean?
It refers to indexable carbide inserts — the replaceable cutting tips clamped into turning, milling and drilling holders. The set drives the small clamping screws that hold those inserts, whose heads use TORX, TORX PLUS or hex socket drives.
Why does insert screw torque matter?
Over-tightening shears the clamp screw or damages the insert seat, which is far more expensive than the insert. Under-tightening lets the insert move under cutting load, ruining the finish and often the tool.
Is it certified to EN ISO 6789?
No. Wera declares no EN ISO 6789 conformity for the Safe-Torque line and states accuracy only as +/-10%. No calibration certificate is claimed as included.
Can I buy the screwdriver on its own?
Yes — it is the Wera 7510 (05075810001). This set adds the thirteen TORX, TORX PLUS and Hex-Plus bits and the roll pouch.
Singular Expert Insight
Insert screws are the cheapest part of a tool holder and the most expensive thing to get wrong: shear one in the seat and the holder goes out of service while somebody drills it out. That is the whole argument for a stepped torque driver kept with the tooling rather than a general screwdriver from the bench. Two details worth checking against your crib before ordering — the bits stop at TX 15 and 3 mm hex, and they are 25 mm standard length, so an unusually deep pocket may still need a long-reach bit. Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You change indexable inserts regularly and want the correct low torque plus every common insert screw drive in one roll pouch.
Skip it if
You need values above 3 Nm, continuous adjustment, an EN ISO 6789 declaration, or ESD-safe tooling.
Also consider
The Wera 7510 alone (05075810001) if you already own the bits, or the 7515 (05075815001) if your work needs 2-6 Nm instead.
