This is a single Wera 840/0 Micro bit, 1.3 mm across flats and 30 mm long, for internal hexagon socket screws at the small end of the scale. It uses the Hex-Plus profile, which increases the contact area inside the screw socket so the load is carried on the flats rather than concentrated on the six corners — the difference between a screw you can undo again and one that has rounded out. Critically, the drive shank is 4 mm hexagon, Wera’s micro standard, not the usual 1/4″. The blade is 2.6 mm in diameter, which is what allows it to reach into recessed sockets on small assemblies. Compatibility — check before buying:
The drive is 4 mm hexagon, not 1/4″ (6.35 mm). This bit will not fit a standard bit holder, screwdriver handle or drill chuck adapter — it requires a Wera micro bit holder or micro screwdriver handle with a 4 mm take-up. That is the single most important thing to check before ordering. This is a single bit: no holder, no handle and no case are included. Wera cites no DIN or ISO standard for the 4 mm micro drive, so we do not quote one, and the bit carries no Z, TZ or BTZ marking — there is no torsion zone.

Hex-Plus on a very small hexagon
The smaller the hexagon, the less material there is in the corners of the socket and the easier it rounds. Hex-Plus spreads contact across the flats instead, which is exactly where it matters most at 1.3 mm.
4 mm micro drive
Wera’s micro bit system uses a 4 mm hexagon shank rather than 1/4″. The result is a much slimmer tool that reaches into recesses a standard bit and holder physically cannot enter.
30 mm of reach on a 2.6 mm blade

At this size the failure mode is always the same: the hexagon socket rounds before the screw moves. There is simply not much metal in the corners of a 1.3 mm socket, and a conventional hex bit loads exactly those corners. Hex-Plus shifts the contact onto the flats, which is why it matters more on micro sizes than it does at 6 or 8 mm. The one thing to confirm before you order is the drive: 4 mm hexagon, so it belongs in a Wera micro handle and will not go anywhere near a standard 1/4″ holder.
