Wera Belt A Deep 1 — 9-Piece 1/4 inch Deep Socket Set
9 Deep Sockets, 5–13 mm1/4 inch Drive50 mm Long, 6-PointTextile Belt with Snap Hook
Belt A Deep 1 is the quarter-inch member of Wera’s belt socket range: nine 8790 HMA Deep sockets in 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13 mm, each 50 mm long so it clears a protruding stud that stops a standard socket short. They are matt chrome-plated chrome-vanadium to ISO 2725 part 3, with a hexagon profile that bears on the flats, a ball-retaining groove at the drive end and knurling at the bottom for spinning by hand. The belt is 39 x 238 mm with nine rotating clips, a fleece back that sticks to a wall or trolley and a snap hook for a belt loop or pocket. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
These are for hand and non-impacting machine use only — Wera states this explicitly, so never fit them to an impact wrench or impact driver. The set has no ratchet, no extension, no adapter and no drive tool; you supply a 1/4 inch drive. There is no holding function on the sockets: the “secure hold” in Wera’s copy is the rotating clip on the belt, and the ball groove is simply where the ratchet’s detent engages. Sizes are metric only with a gap at 9 mm, and nothing below 5 or above 13 mm.
Best For
✓ Nuts on protruding studs in tight work
✓ Electronics, cabinet and panel assembly
✓ Mobile service and van racking
✓ Tool trolleys and workshop walls
Key Features
Nine Deep 50 mm Sockets
Every socket is 50 mm long, so a nut can be run down a stud that a standard 1/4 inch socket bottoms out on. Uniform length across the set keeps reach predictable and the belt tidy.
Six-Point Chrome-Vanadium
A hexagon profile bears on the flats rather than the corners of the fastener, which matters on the small sizes where corners round easily. Matt chrome-plated chrome-vanadium to ISO 2725 part 3.
Knurled Lower End
The bottom of each socket is knurled so it can be spun by fingertip once the fastener is loose, without going back to the ratchet for every turn.
Belt A with Snap Hook
A 39 x 238 mm textile belt with nine rotating clips: each socket twists out and clicks back. The fleece back sticks to a wall, shelf or trolley, and the snap hook takes it onto a belt loop. Wera 2go compatible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really nine sockets, and are they 50 mm?
Yes on both. Nine sockets from 5 to 13 mm, all 50 mm overall length. Note that 9 mm is skipped in the sequence.
Does the belt count as one of the nine?
No. The nine are the sockets. The belt and the hook-and-loop mounting strip ship in addition.
Can I use them with an impact driver?
No. Wera specifies hand and non-impacting machine operation. Impact work needs Impaktor sockets, such as the 9607 Magnetic rail B Impaktor 1 (05005451001) on 3/8 inch drive.
How does it compare to Belt B and Belt C Deep 1?
Drive size and reach. Belt A is 1/4 inch with nine 50 mm sockets, 5-13 mm. Belt B (05004545001) is 3/8 inch with nine 64 mm sockets, 8-19 mm. Belt C (05004565001) is 1/2 inch with six 83 mm sockets, 10-19 mm.
Singular Expert Insight
Quarter-inch deep sockets are the ones people forget to buy and then need urgently: the M4 nut halfway up a threaded standoff in a control panel, the terminal stud in a junction box. Standard sockets simply stop. The belt is what makes a small-socket set survive — nine sockets loose in a drawer become six within a year, whereas sockets that twist back into a clip tend to come home. Check the 9 mm gap against your own work before ordering, and remember these are hand sockets. Browse our

Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You work on small fasteners on studs or in recesses and want a complete 5-13 mm deep socket run on a belt that hangs where you work.
Skip it if
You need impact-rated sockets, a larger drive, imperial sizes, the 9 mm size, or a set that includes a ratchet.
