Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 XL SHK 1 — 300 mm Blade, 7 Pieces
300 mm Rigid Blade6-Bit Magazine in HandleSHK Bit SelectionStainless Bit Holder
The Kraftform Kompakt 27 XL SHK 1 is a bit-holding screwdriver with a 300 mm rigid blade, assembled for plumbing, heating and air-conditioning work — SHK is Wera’s abbreviation for Sanitär, Heizung, Klima. That extra reach is the whole point: boiler casings, radiator valves, pump housings and air-conditioning units put screws behind panels and down cavities that a normal driver cannot enter. Six bits live in a magazine inside the handle — PH 2, TORX TX 15, TX 20 and TX 25, and Hex-Plus 5 and 6 mm — and a slim stainless steel bit holder with a locking mechanism and a strong permanent magnet keeps them square on the end of that long blade. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The blade is rigid and fixed at 300 mm — it is not telescopic and cannot be removed for use as a power-tool bit holder, which is the Kraftform Kompakt 28. There is no ratchet function and no return angle, unlike the Kompakt 27 RA drivers. The bit selection is PH 2, TX 15-25 and Hex-Plus 5 and 6 mm only: no slotted, no Pozidriv, no smaller hex. The magazine holds exactly six, so it is full as supplied. Not insulated, not VDE-approved, not impact-rated. Do not confuse it with the Kraftform Kompakt 27 XL Universal 1 (05051028001), which is the same tool with a different bit set.
Best For
✓ Boiler, radiator and pump servicing
✓ Air-conditioning unit maintenance
✓ Screws behind panels and down cavities
✓ SHK trades who need reach more than profiles
Key Features
300 mm Rigid Blade
The reason this is the XL. A fixed 300 mm blade puts the bit where a standard driver cannot go — through a casing aperture, down beside a pipe run, behind a fixed panel — without the flex of an extension.
Six Bits in the Handle
A magazine inside the handle holds all six bits, so the driver arrives at the job complete. Nothing loose to lose in a plant room, and no separate case to carry up a ladder.
SHK Bit Selection
PH 2, TORX TX 15, TX 20 and TX 25, and Hex-Plus 5 and 6 mm — the fastener mix actually found on boiler casings, valve bodies and air-conditioning hardware, rather than a generic assortment.
Stainless Bit Holder with Magnet
A slim stainless steel holder with a locking mechanism and a strong permanent magnet, so a bit does not drop off the end of a 300 mm blade into a cavity you cannot reach.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the screwdriver counted in the seven?
Yes. One bitholding screwdriver plus six bits makes seven. Note that Wera is not consistent here — on the Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA and Stubby magazine RA drivers only the bits are counted.
Are the 5 and 6 mm bits hex or slotted?
Hex. They are 840/1 Z Hex-Plus bits for internal hexagon screws. Wera’s English datasheet prints those rows with no profile word at all, which reads as slotted — the component datasheets confirm Hex-Plus. There is no slotted bit in this set.
Does it ratchet?
No. This is a plain bitholding screwdriver with a long rigid blade. If you want a ratchet, the Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA 1 (05051517001) has one with a 9 degree return angle, but a much shorter blade.
Can the blade be removed and used in a drill?
No. The 300 mm blade is fixed. The removable, telescopic blade that doubles as a 100 mm power-tool bit holder belongs to the Kraftform Kompakt 28 range.
Singular Expert Insight
Reach is a specialist requirement and this tool is honest about being built for it. Three hundred millimetres of rigid blade goes where a normal driver plus an extension only wobbles, and on a boiler casing that is the difference between doing the job and taking the panel off. The trade is that you give up the ratchet and the telescopic blade of the other Kompakt 27 and 28 tools. Check the bit list against your own work too — there is no slotted and no Pozidriv here at all. Browse our
