Wera Kraftform Kompakt VDE Big Pack 1 — two insulated handles and 24 VDE blades for work up to 1000 V
26 pieces1000 V, tested at 10,000 VIEC 6090014 of 24 blades reduced diameter
The Wera Kraftform Kompakt VDE Big Pack 1 (part number 05006617001) is the largest of Wera’s interchangeable-blade VDE sets: two 817 VDE blade-holding handles and twenty-four insulated 157 mm blades in a folding pouch, every one individually tested at 10,000 V in accordance with IEC 60900 for approved working at 1,000 V. The profile range is unusually wide, taking in Phillips, Pozidriv, PH/S and PZ/S combinations, TORX from TX 8 to TX 30, hexagon socket 2.5 to 5 mm and slotted from 2.5 to 6.5 mm. It is aimed at electricians who want one pouch instead of two dozen screwdrivers. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The whole set is insulated: both handles and all 24 blades are individually tested at 10,000 V per IEC 60900 and approved for 1,000 V working. VDE blades are rated only in a VDE handle — a Wera VDE blade in a non-VDE handle is not a VDE tool. Fourteen of the twenty-four blades are the reduced-diameter iS type for sunken screws and spring terminals; the other ten are standard i diameter. Note that Wera’s English web page misprints the four 64 i hexagon socket blades as 12.5 to 15 mm; the article datasheet gives 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 mm, which is what this listing follows. The 26 counts two handles and 24 blades, with the hook-and-loop strip supplied uncounted.
Best For
✓ Electrical installation and panel building
✓ Control cabinets, switchgear and relays
✓ Terminal blocks and recessed spring elements
✓ Service technicians facing mixed screw profiles
✓ Anyone replacing a drawer of loose VDE screwdrivers
✓ Teams standardising on one blade system
Key Features
Twenty-four profiles, two handles, one pouch
Slotted 2.5, 3.5, 4, 5.5 and 6.5 mm, PH 1 and PH 2, PZ 1 and PZ 2, PH/S and PZ/S combinations in sizes 1 and 2, TORX TX 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 and hexagon socket 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 mm. Two 817 VDE handles mean two profiles stay loaded at once.
Individually tested at 10,000 V to IEC 60900
Wera tests every handle and blade piece by piece at 10,000 V, ten times the maximum permitted operating load, which is what licenses the 1,000 V working rating rather than a moulded plastic grip.
Fourteen reduced-diameter slim blades
The iS blades carry their protective insulation integrated into the shaft rather than sleeved over it, so the diameter stays small enough to enter recessed screw positions and spring terminals that a standard insulated blade cannot reach.
Take it easy tool finder and a folding pouch
Colour coding by profile with laser-engraved sizes means the right blade comes out first time even with twenty-four to choose from, and the robust folding pouch keeps them ordered and docks with the Wera 2go system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are the four hexagon socket blades?
2.5, 3, 4 and 5 mm, all 157 mm long, in Wera’s Hex-Plus profile. Wera’s English product page prints them as 12.5, 13, 14 and 15 mm, which is a page error: the article datasheet gives the correct millimetre sizes, and they are hexagon socket blades rather than slotted.
Is every item in this set insulated?
Yes. Both 817 VDE handles and all twenty-four blades are individually tested at 10,000 V in accordance with IEC 60900 and approved for working at 1,000 V. Only the hook-and-loop fastener strip is not a tool, and it is not counted in the 26.
How does this compare with the VDE 17 extra slim set?
The Big Pack is wider rather than slimmer. It has twenty-four blades against fourteen, adds PH/S and PZ/S combinations, TX 8, TX 9 and TX 30 and four hexagon socket blades, but only fourteen of its blades are the reduced-diameter type and it does not include pliers.
What do I need to know before buying the Big Pack?
It is a screwdriving set only: no pliers, no torque control and no sockets. VDE blades must stay in a VDE handle to keep their rating, and IEC 60900 practice is to inspect the insulation before every use and retire anything cut, cracked or scorched.
Singular Expert Insight
The argument for a blade-and-handle system rather than twenty-four separate insulated screwdrivers is mostly about the bag: this whole set is 855 g in a folding pouch, where the equivalent screwdrivers would fill a drawer. Two handles is the detail that makes it work in practice, because keeping a slotted and a Pozidriv loaded is what stops you swapping blades at every terminal. Where it sits against the VDE 17 extra slim set is worth understanding: that one is narrower but slimmer, with all fourteen blades reduced diameter and pliers included, while this one trades some of that reach for twenty-four profiles including the PH/S and PZ/S combinations and four hexagon socket blades. If your problem is variety, this is the set; if it is access into recessed terminals, the extra slim one is. Browse our

Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want the widest VDE profile coverage in one pouch, with two handles so a second profile is always ready, for work on live installations up to 1,000 V.
Skip it if
You need pliers or torque control in the same pouch, you need every blade to be the reduced-diameter type, or you only ever use three or four profiles.
