Read the insulation scope carefully. Only the 817 VDE handle and the twelve VDE blades are individually tested at 10,000 V to IEC 60900 and approved for 1,000 V working. The ratchet, sockets, extension, adaptor, bit holder, all seven bits, the Joker wrench and the screw gripper are not insulated and must never touch live parts, and the 247 phase tester is rated only up to 250 V with no IEC 60900 statement. The 817 handle accepts Wera VDE blades only. Sockets are metric 5.5 to 13 mm with no 9 mm, they are non-impact, and the headline 35 counts the tools while the hook-and-loop strip is supplied uncounted.

An 8784 A1 Zyklop bit adaptor gives a quick-release chuck for rapid bit changes on the ratchet, while the 893/4/1 K universal holder takes 1/4 inch hex bits with a stainless sleeve and a strong permanent magnet. Seven bits are supplied: four hex 3 to 6 mm, PZ 1, PZ 2 and TX 25.
