Xerox 006R04988 Everyday High Yield Ink Multipack — replaces HP 953XL
Xerox Everyday rangeReplaces HP 953XL4 cartridges: BK, C, M, YHigh yield (XL)
The Xerox 006R04988 is a Xerox Everyday high-yield ink multipack containing four cartridges — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — sold as the equivalent of HP's own 953XL set. It is built for HP OfficeJet Pro business inkjets in the 7720 to 8740 range, and it is an alternative to the HP originals rather than an HP product. Xerox remanufactures the Everyday line and sells it under its own part number, 006R04988. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a Xerox-brand set for HP printers — it does not fit any Xerox machine. It replaces HP 953XL only, so check that your printer takes 953XL cartridges and not the standard-capacity 953. Xerox does not publish a page yield for this multipack; for reference HP publishes 2,000 pages for the black original it replaces, measured to ISO/IEC 24711. Note also that printers enrolled in HP Instant Ink require HP's own subscription cartridges and will not work with third-party or remanufactured ink.
Key Features
All four colours in one order
An inkjet stops on any empty colour, even when you are only printing black text, so buying the set rather than single cartridges is what actually keeps the printer available. This multipack covers black, cyan, magenta and yellow in a single line item.
A Xerox-made alternative to HP 953XL
The Everyday range is remanufactured and sold under Xerox part numbers rather than as an anonymous compatible, so there is a named manufacturer standing behind the cartridges. Xerox positions the range as a substantial saving against original HP pricing.
High-yield XL format
These are the XL equivalents rather than the standard-capacity cartridges, so each one runs considerably longer before it needs changing. On a shared OfficeJet Pro that means fewer interruptions and a lower cost per page.
Nothing else to replace
OfficeJet Pro machines use an integrated printhead and ink cartridges only — there is no drum, imaging kit or waste toner container in the machine. The four cartridges are the entire routine consumable list.

Singular Expert Insight
Buying ink as a set is the practical point of a multipack: an OfficeJet Pro refuses to print when any single colour runs dry, so the office that keeps one black spare and no colours is the office that loses a morning. The Everyday range gives you a manufacturer-backed alternative to HP's XL cartridges rather than an unbranded refill, which is the sensible middle ground for a busy shared printer. Browse the rest of our compatible ink range for other models, and if you print enough that ink cost is the deciding factor, our laser multifunction printers are worth comparing on cost per page. Two honest caveats: Xerox does not publish a page yield for this set, and if the printer sits idle for long periods an inkjet printhead suffers more than a laser drum would.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You run an HP OfficeJet Pro in the 7720 to 8740 range, are not on HP Instant Ink, and want a full set of high-yield cartridges from a named manufacturer at less than HP original pricing.
Skip it if
You need HP originals for a service contract or internal policy, or your printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink — in both cases order HP 953XL instead. Also skip it if your printer takes a different cartridge family or is a PageWide, LaserJet or Xerox machine.
Also consider
HP's own 953XL multipack if you would rather stay with the originals. If you only need one colour, check whether single Everyday cartridges exist for your model — for HP PageWide 973X, for example, Xerox sells 006R04211 black, 006R04212 cyan, 006R04213 magenta and 006R04214 yellow individually.
