Xerox 104R00256 Transfer Belt Cleaner for VersaLink C8000 / C9000
Approx. 160,000 pagesGenuine XeroxRoutine maintenanceVersaLink C8000 / C9000
The Xerox 104R00256 is the genuine IBT (intermediate transfer belt) cleaner unit for the Xerox VersaLink C8000, C8000W and C9000 A3 colour printers, rated by Xerox at approximately 160,000 pages. It removes residual toner from the transfer belt after each image, keeping colour output clean.
Xerox classes it as a routine maintenance item, so it is replaced on site when the printer reports that the belt cleaner is at end of life - no service visit is required.
Before you order: Order this only for VersaLink C8000, C8000W or C9000; Xerox does not list it for any other model.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Xerox 104R00256 IBT cleaner unit (transfer belt cleaner)
- No transfer belt, toner or waste toner container included
What It Means in Practice
- Rated life approx. 160,000 pages, so most installations replace it a few times over the printer's life.
- When the printer shows the belt cleaner warning, have the unit on hand to avoid toner smearing or background on prints.
- It is a separate part from the transfer belt itself and from the waste toner container.
What Will Not Work
- Not for other VersaLink models (such as the C7000 or C405/C505/C605) or AltaLink models - Xerox lists it for C8000, C8000W and C9000 only.
- It is not the transfer belt and not the waste toner cartridge.
- It will not fix colour defects caused by toner or drum cartridges.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
On VersaLink C8000 and C9000 fleets the belt cleaner is one of the maintenance items that tends to be forgotten until the printer stops with a warning. Ordering one together with your next toner avoids downtime. Other supplies are in our printer accessories range.
✓ Buy it if you run a VersaLink C8000, C8000W or C9000 and the printer reports the belt cleaner is due.
✕ Skip it if your printer is a VersaLink C7000-series or an AltaLink model.
→ Also consider Toner and drum cartridges for VersaLink C8000/C9000 - ask us for the matching part numbers.
Not sure it fits? Send us the exact model of your printer (it is printed on the front panel or on the rating label) and we will check compatibility before you order.
