The Zebra P1112640-030 is the original 4-inch full-cut cutter for the direct thermal ZD421d and ZD621d desktop label printers: it replaces the standard tear-off bezel so each label, tag or receipt is cut off automatically — for counters, warehouses and labs that print variable-length labels or tags and do not want to tear by hand.
Zebra lists it as "Cutter, 4", Full Cut" in the ZD421 direct thermal parts catalog and in the Desktop Printers Accessories Guide for both ZD421d and ZD621d, and describes the cutter as a field-installable option.
Before you order: This cutter is for the current ZD421d and ZD621d (direct thermal). The older ZD420d/ZD620d use a different cutter (P1080383-417), and the linerless ZD621d uses the linerless cutter P1112640-033. Check the model on your printer label before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
- The printer cuts after each label (or after a batch, depending on settings) — no tearing against the bar, cleaner edges.
- It cuts between labels through the liner, or through continuous paper and tag stock — it does not cut through the label and liner together.
- With a cutter fitted, the minimum label length is 12.7 mm, and media up to 0.1905 mm thick is supported.
- Zebra recommends updating the printer firmware after installing a new option.
What Will Not Work
- ZD420d / ZD620d (previous generation) — use P1080383-417.
- Linerless media on the ZD621d — needs the linerless cutter P1112640-033.
- Cutting through the label and its liner at the same time — not supported by Zebra.
- Media thicker than 0.1905 mm.
- Thermal transfer ZD421t / ZD621t are not listed by Zebra for this part number — tell us your model and we will confirm.

The ZD421 and ZD621 changed the option modules compared with the ZD420/ZD620, so the cutter is not interchangeable between generations — that is the most common ordering mistake.
