The Midnight Black DS9308-SR is a wired presentation scanner for checkout counters and ticket desks. Present a printed label or phone-screen code to its scan window; the connected POS or ticket application receives the data and performs its own lookup or validation. The integral tilting base is part of the scanner, but this scanner-only SKU does not include the host cable.

Before you order:
This is DS9308-SR00004ZZWW, the black scanner-only version. Select a suitable host cable; the USB kit is a different SKU. Optional multi-mount/locking brackets are separate. Digimarc is restricted to specific models and is not promised for this SKU.

Adjust the ratcheting base for the counter position. Presentation scanning supports hands-free use; the optional mounting brackets serve installations that need additional restraint.
 
Useful range rather than a universal distance
Typical UPC 13 mil range is 0–22.4 cm and QR 20 mil is 0–19.1 cm. Barcode size, contrast and lighting affect the usable distance.
 
Printed labels and screens
The 1280 × 800 imager reads 1D/2D codes, including DotCode and Dotted DataMatrix. Configure decoding and data formatting for the receiving application.

No. It includes the scanner and its integral base; choose the host cable separately.
What differs from the white scanner?
The Midnight Black and Alpine White SR versions share the documented sensor, scanning ranges and host interfaces. Choose by colour; neither scanner-only SKU includes the host cable.
Does every DS9308 read Digimarc?
The current manufacturer sheet limits Digimarc to specific models. Confirm the required licensed/configured variant before ordering for that workflow.
