The Zebra ZD621t ZD6A142-31EF00EZ is a 203 dpi desktop thermal transfer printer with a fitted label dispenser/peeler and colour touchscreen. It separates a suitable label from its backing and presents it for the operator to apply, with a label present sensor supporting dispensing. USB, USB Host, Ethernet and serial are fitted. Before you order:
Use suitable backed labels, a compatible ribbon and a supported application. The peeler requires labels at least 12.7 mm long; Zebra lists a tested thermal-transfer maximum of 279.4 mm, distinct from the theoretical 990 mm. It is not a cutter or a linerless mechanism. BLE is for setup only; full Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are not included.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, load a backed product-label roll and matching ribbon, route the liner through the dispenser and send labels from supported software. The peeler presents a label for manual application; the sensor supports the next-label workflow. Test the application’s dispense settings before deployment.
  • The touchscreen provides setup menus and guidance. The printer does not automatically apply labels or maintain business inventory. Direct thermal stock can be used without ribbon when appropriate.

What Will Not Work

  • Choose another configuration for automatic cutting, linerless stock or included Wi-Fi.
  • Qualify label length, liner and adhesive for the peeler; tested length is lower than the theoretical maximum.
