The ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QFT2A is a 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS gaming monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate over DisplayPort, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and AMD FreeSync Premium. Its unusual extra is a built-in 7dBi Wi-Fi antenna that can replace the small antennas on the back of your PC.

The IPS panel covers 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 with 400 cd/m² typical brightness, so games look vivid and colours stay consistent from any angle. QHD at 27" gives sharper detail than Full HD while still being realistic to drive at high frame rates on a mid-range graphics card.

Before you order: 180Hz is available only over DisplayPort 1.4. The HDMI 2.0 inputs run from 48 to 144Hz — connect your gaming PC with the included DisplayPort cable. The Wi-Fi antenna only helps if your PC has a Wi-Fi card with external antenna connectors (most desktop motherboards and PCIe Wi-Fi cards); it does nothing for laptops.

  • Connect the PC via DisplayPort for 180Hz with FreeSync Premium; use HDMI for a console or second device (up to 144Hz).
  • The monitor-mounted Wi-Fi antenna sits higher and in the open, which can improve wireless signal compared with antennas behind a desk. It supports Wi-Fi 4 to Wi-Fi 7 cards.
  • DisplayHDR 400 gives a noticeable but entry-level HDR effect in games and movies.
  • The stand offers 100mm height adjustment, -5° to 20° tilt and ±20° swivel.
  • Two 2W speakers are built in; plug a headset into the earphone jack for better sound.

  • No USB-C input — USB-C-only laptops need a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
  • No USB hub is published.
  • The stand does not pivot into portrait mode.
  • The Wi-Fi antenna is not a Wi-Fi adapter — it does not give Wi-Fi to a PC that has no wireless card.

Does the Wi-Fi antenna work with my PC?
It works with Wi-Fi cards that have screw-on antenna connectors — most desktop motherboards with onboard Wi-Fi and PCIe Wi-Fi cards. Connect it with the supplied cable set instead of the small antennas.
Can I use 180Hz with a PS5 or Xbox?
No. Consoles connect over HDMI, which on this monitor is limited to 144Hz; consoles themselves output up to 120Hz.
Will FreeSync work with an NVIDIA card?
ASRock lists AMD FreeSync Premium. NVIDIA cards can usually enable variable refresh on FreeSync monitors over DisplayPort, but ASRock does not publish G-SYNC Compatible certification.
