LevelOne IGU-2872 Industrial L2+ Fiber Switch
20x SFP fiber4x 2.5G SFPIndustrial -40 to 80CRedundant power
The LevelOne IGU-2872 is a 28-port L2+ managed Gigabit fiber industrial switch, combining four 1.25/2.5GbE SFP ports, sixteen 1.25GbE SFP ports and eight Gigabit SFP/RJ45 combo ports. Built for harsh environments with redundant power and a -40 to 80C operating range, it is designed for fiber-dense industrial rings in utility, transport and outdoor deployments. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a fiber-oriented switch: 20 of its ports are SFP (four run at 1.25/2.5G, sixteen at 1.25G) and need matching transceivers (sold separately); the eight combo ports accept either an SFP module or an RJ45 copper cable. It is non-PoE, so it aggregates and links rather than powering endpoints. It uses redundant AC/DC power inputs and is rated -40 to 80C for industrial and outdoor use.
Best For
✓ Fiber-dense industrial aggregation and rings
✓ Utility, transport and outdoor deployments
✓ Harsh or wide-temperature environments (-40 to 80C)
✓ Networks needing redundant power resilience
✓ Ring-protected topologies (ERPS/RSTP)
✓ Long-distance fiber connectivity via SFP
Key Features
Fiber-dense 28-port design
Four 1.25/2.5GbE SFP ports plus sixteen 1.25GbE SFP ports and eight Gigabit SFP/RJ45 combo ports give a high-density, flexible fiber layer with copper options.
Rugged industrial build
Rated for -40 to 80C operation, it withstands the temperature extremes of industrial, utility and outdoor sites where standard switches fail.
Redundant AC/DC power
Dual power inputs provide redundancy, so a single power feed failure does not take the switch - or the fiber ring it anchors - offline.
L2+ managed with ring redundancy
VLANs, QoS, ACLs and ring redundancy (ERPS/RSTP) plus LACP deliver a resilient, well-controlled managed network.

Singular Expert Insight
The IGU-2872 is a specialist: a fiber-dense, industrial-rated aggregation switch for utility, transport and outdoor rings where copper access switches are the wrong tool. Twenty SFP ports, redundant power and a -40 to 80C rating make it a resilient ring backbone. If you need 10G fiber uplinks, the IGX-2872 adds 10G SFP+; for PoE at the edge, pair it with an industrial PoE switch such as the IXP series. Browse our wider switch range to build out the rest of the network.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need a rugged, fiber-dense industrial aggregation switch with redundant power and ring redundancy for utility, transport or outdoor fiber networks.
Skip it if
You need PoE, mostly copper access ports, or 10G SFP+ uplinks - an industrial PoE switch (IXP) or the 10G IGX-2872 may suit better.
Also consider
The LevelOne IGX-2872 for 10G SFP+ uplinks, or the industrial IXP series if you need PoE.
