KMP Compatible Ink Double Pack for Brother LC223BK Black, 2 x 550 Pages, 2 x 11.8 ml, with Chip

KMP 1529,4021 is a compatible black ink double pack (two cartridges) that replaces the Brother LC223BK, with 11.8 ml of ink per cartridge for up to 550 A4 pages each measured to ISO/IEC 24711 — for home and office users of Brother DCP-J4120DW, DCP-J562DW and MFC-J480DW to MFC-J5720DW printers who want a lower cost per page.

KMP Printtechnik AG is a German supplier of compatible ink and toner cartridges. This double pack is made by KMP, not by Brother, and goes into the same Black slot as the original LC223BK cartridge in the printers listed below.

• 2 × KMP Black ink cartridge, replacement for Brother LC223BK, chip fitted
• Ink only — no printhead, cable, paper or printer software

• Up to 550 A4 pages per cartridge (two cartridges in the pack) measured with the ISO/IEC 24711 test pages — photos, full-page graphics and frequent cleaning cycles use ink faster.
• The chip lets the printer recognise the cartridge and show an ink level, as with the original.
• This is the standard size used by the printers listed; check whether your printer also accepts a higher-yield version if you print a lot.
• Only the black cartridge is replaced — colour cartridges are separate and sold individually.

• Printers that are not on the compatibility list, including Brother models that look similar but use a different cartridge series.
• Any other colour slot — this double pack is black only.
• Printer firmware: a manufacturer firmware update can occasionally stop a printer accepting third-party cartridges; KMP states it supports this case within its guarantee.
• Printers under a lease or service contract that requires original manufacturer supplies.
